woo! sat around all day waiting for the ups truck to come with my gear. when it arrived, i was so excited i took everything out, took a pic... and in all the excitement... forgot to realize they didnt send my gloves! a-holes! hahaha

cant wait! sunday cant come fast enough! cant wait to pick up my drz400sm, and terrorize!

hjc ac-12 carbon shell, they only make a limited quantity every once so often, its hard to get one in carbon... fortunately i found a store that happened to have the right size in stock! got one of the last 2 they where ever getting!

drz400sm = <33333333333333. supermotos are still real scarce around here so when i do see one on the road i get all amped and excited...the girls just dont understand it :rolleyes:

i can't wait to get one, im almost 18 and HOPING to have one by next year to cruise around town with. so much cooler than sportbikes imo...im going to have a very similiar setup, full gear and the sm.


be sure to let that thing breathe with a nice exhaust/3x3 mod/rejet ect and dont forget to post pics and tell me how it is!!!!!

i think they mean visor as in the lense, im saving for a uv lense right now, im flat broke after the yoshi pipe though hahaha!

ive had the drz too about 92mph on a flat back road, it took some grunt to get there, but it made it, im sure the speedo is overly generous though, i was probably hitting about 80mph. the stock gearing is all wrong

its my bike, i paid for it, also pay the $370 a year insurance... they dont like 18yo's on bikes, heh. but every once and a while my dad or bro wants to take my rides for a spin, i have no problem letting them take it out, or to work for the day, they pay for what they break though! hahaha

eh, like i said, the stock gearing really sucks (way to tall, to tall to even reach its full top speed), if you clutch dump it, you can wheelie it, but until i gear down, no power wheelies

I just love the wayy it looks. I just traded my 05 GSXR for the LTR 450 about a month ago. It was completely stock 450, and your bike makes be want another motorcycle. I no its not in the same category as my GSXR but man it just look sweeet w/ those street tires on it, blacked out, w/ just a polished pipe.

thats so sick man, EXACTLY what i plan on picking up next year, just a used one...ill be 18 too. it must feel so cool being able to legally ride a dirtbike ANYWHERE. i know when i get mine i will be on it constantly. i feel the same way as you about the safety....its not us, its the other people on the road out to kill you. ive been training myself to become extra defensive in my truck just for some practice, looking at things before they happen(cars stopped at stop signs-expect them to pull out right in front of you, cars in turning lanes-expect them to cut a left in front of you, when stopped at a light-expect a car to come barreling behind you, etc)and how to react in time... i plan on taking the msf course before stepping on the street too.

ps-when you get some extra cash, rip that rear tail assembly off and get a nice drc edge or baja designs taillight with low pro blinkers...makes it look 10x better

yah! i love the looks too! it just seems really aggressive coming down the street, the yoshi has a nice deep grunt too when you give it gas (but still whispery enough to ride without disturbing people)

good news! state farm messed up my insurance quote! turns out my yearly will only be $175! sweet!

i do have some plans for it, once i get a few paychecks, im gonna invest in some low-profile led''s, acerbis cyclops front light and supermoto fender, fcr39 carb, sprockets. very last on my list is a steering stabilizer, id like one, but dont need one right now, im pretty happy with how stable the bike is

the motorcycle safety course is great, taught me some small things i didnt know about how to back myself out of emergency stops/slides
