just curious, i have my 400ex completly tore down, doing lots of reading and want to build a 250r tricked out for mx. i like the way my 400 sits, and handles. and think this would be a sweet quad with a 250r in it, could i make this work with 400 frame, not one part will be stock on this project, i want to put all the best parts. what do you guys think. Never built a race quad.

Ride a 250r first before you stick the motor in 400ex frame. There is a reason aftermarket frames are made with 250r geometry.

yea i agree, i say ride a 250r first, those bikes also handle well, i mean alot of quads are still based off of there geometry,

and if your not happy with a complete 250r,, then it would be time to tear into your 400 and do the swap..

thats my 0.02

all quads are based on 250r frames...not to mention honda came up with this winning design first.....
