View Full Version : is the lt250r motor the same as the 250r motor?

what the title says im wondering if the lt250r motor is the same as the 250r motor like cc's and comp ratio.

nope, it has some similarities but two big differences it the power valve on the quad the the fact that it is counterballanced. the trans is also different.

the 85-86 lt's had no power valve, but the 87-92's did, all lt motors were counterbalanced, I dont know anything about honda though.

The 86-89 Honda TRX250R motors are counterbalanced, non-Power Valved, cylinder reed induction engines.

The 85/86 Suzuki engines were Case Reed Induction, non-Power Valve, counterbalanced engines.

The 87-92 Suzuki engines were Power Valved, counterbalanced engines with cylinder reed induction.
