recently got a 98 lt80 it was running great and recently it died on trail...
I have read most of LT80's threads about this and have tried everything...
What it does:
starts and idles, give it gas it bogs down and dies
also If we shut off the choke it dies
I have the complete service manual for it..
What I did:
cleaned air filter, new plug, cleaned carb 3 times all jets everything a-z, cleaned all vacum hoses etc...drained fuel, cleaned feul filter and feulcock , run it on pri so feul will be on all time for testing it
If I do LT80's 2finger trick choking the carb on my own I can get it to rev and run faster.
I was thinking the float may have slow leak but it wouldn't run faster when I choke it out manually...?
I adjusting main needle richnes/ lean and that wasn't problem.
I was also wondering if stator would cause this but doesn't make sense how it runs fast when I cut off air flow some???
any ideas... thx
