What color elastomer do you use in the bars? I just got a set of the bars and it came with the red elastomers installed. The black elastomers are the only ones stiffer. I'll likely try it out with the red to have something to compare to but I was curious what other people decided on.

Yellow as well!

Another question while we're on the subject. Has anyone taken their Fasst Bars apart to clean and lube the pivot pins?

I use black, any thing softer and I end up with to much flex and it tears my hands up. I used them for the first time in the last 2 hour AWRCS race and worked awesome. Its all preference I guess.

zrpilot, I clean mine every time I grease and clean the suspension. Just remove either front or back circlip and take a 3/8 deep well socket and knock the sleeves out. Theres 4 little black orings on the sleeve. Call Fasst and ask for a spare set, they hook me up every time I call and ask. Just in case you tear one when you remove it.

Yellow here too, just enough flex to feel a difference

I use red and u can tell the they flex. It even saved me the other day I cased it hard u know the ones that rap u around the bars! and i felt the bars give and i could hold my self up with that little give and didnt bounce my helmit off the hood. mind u this was prob a 60-70 ft dubble.

sounds like i might need to try the yellow 1s tho lol

I use blue on the inside and yellow on the outside. I have replaced the stock bolt with a longer one to fit an elastomer on the outside as to give more flexx up not just down. Stock it comes up hard against the bolt when you pull up. Works great.

hopefully you can see from the pictures what i have done. Cant believe someone hasnt thought of it before. These are pretty soft at the moment and could prolly move up one in hardness.
