I am looking for a 400EX carb if anyone has a stock one including the choke. But that isn't the point of this thread. I was wondering is the rubber boot on the back of the head big enough to accept the 400EX carb? Meaning will it stretch enough? If it isn't what carb boot is everyone running? Thanks for any help.

Yup a heatgun and a lot of patientce and it will go on. LOL.

When I tune the carb. I do not remove the boot from the carb. I leave it on the carb and remove the boot from the Airbox.

Just a hint to save future headaches. ;)

It's great and very reliable.

That being said. Since I bought the quad before 400ex's came out, and build the motor before 450's came out (when it would keep up with the bolt-on 400's). If I were to do it again I'd spend the money on a 450. lol.

I still occasionally beat the stock 450s in a sand drag since people tend to over-paddle their 450's. ;) Now if they aren't runnin an 8-paddle taller hauler then I get smoked.. lol.

The dunes are the main reason I upgraded. 300ex's and big dunes of sand to climb just dont mix.. lol.
