Thanks for the compliments guys! The plastics are FullBore and the bike still isnt finished yet. I have some polished OMF radiator shrouds, a billet grille, and a silver billet Tusk gas cap coming in the mail sometime this week.

Well, I didnt pay half as much as it cost the original owner to build it lol. I was in the market for an R and found 1 in Bishop Ca. I called up Will, the owner of 1 Dir Racing in So Cal to get a price for a new carb and a 1 Dir Racing G-3 reed valve. Well Will asks me how much the guy is selling me his R for. I told him 4 grand. He asks me if it would be worth it to me to spend another 1500 bucks on an R thats probably built 100x better. I said well hell yea. So he sends me some pics of this bike and I chit!

He said that he had just got done building this bike as a full off the frame restoration for a 50 year old client of his. And that this client had spent 17,000 bucks on everything for this bike. That he took it out for 2 hours and decided it was to much bike for him lol. I scored it for 5,500 bucks with only two hours on it. Drove all the way out from Albuquerque NM to San Diego Ca. to pick it up 2 days later.

Since then I have added the ITP Baja rims with Kenda tires, a higher compression dome for the 1 Dir Racing Pro hemi cool head, some polished OMF radiator shrouds, billet grille, and a billet gas cap. Next month I will be getting a 1 Dir Racing timing advance plate, rezzies for the front WORKS suspension, and some shock covers for the fronts. Theres really nothing else I can do to it lol.

Well, I guess thats not true, theres always something hehhehheh.

There are some other things on this bike that I know I am forgetting. The entire bike was built from the frame up by 1 Dir Racing, whom I cant say enough positive things about. The motor runs extremely fast AND extremely cool to boot. Last Saturday I took my bike on a 175 mile desert ride balls out in 5th and 6th gear most of the time and the radiator temp gauge did not go over 198 degrees at any point. I also did not loose not 1 psi of compression and it was a 102 degree day lol. About the only other motor mod I want is a timing advance plate.

The ride I went on was with my two buddies that just bought brand spankin new Raptor 700Rs, both added the GYTR exhaust systems and I took them both by about a half mile on this desert course. I love 2 strokes!

It looks great, obviously will be better once you get the shrouds on.

You're lucky you only paid $5500 because for 17K somebody got taken for a ride. By my estimates that puts the motor at 10K because if you add up everything else bought new, maybe there's 4-5K
