Radiator hoses, I do not believe they manufacture clear in CV4 hoses. I am not positive.

racerx573: Thanks for the info! :D

I know they're radiator hoses, your title says that!;) What is a CV4 hose? Why not just buy stock hoses? Is there any benefit, etc?

They look cooler. Have higher pressure rating, made of silicone, instead of just regular black rubber. Have better cooling characteristics, etc, etc..

CV4.net is their site. They only have them in blue or red.

CV4 hoses are constructed from pure silicone with polyester reinforcement and can withstand temperatures up to 420 degrees fahrenheit. Unlike the factory hoses, our silicone hoses resist ozone and UV deterioration and are more puncture resistant. With a smoother I.D. coolant flow is also increased. Best of all, they look really good!!!

racerx573.... Is Cernic's the cheapest place to get them?

Thanks!

CV4 hoses are listed for $111. What is there, about 4' of hose on the R? 111/4=27.75 per foot of hose!! That's silly paying that much for something that looks "pretty" when there are cheaper alternatives. I see several different silicone hose products listed at www.mcmaster.com for less than half that price, probably more like a quarter, that would probably work just as well. They even have colors too. Only problem I foresee is the short hose from the back of the cylinder to the water pump. You might need to install an elbow rather than trying to bend an unformed hose that tight. But hey, it's your money.;)

I found some on eBay for like $85ish...

I cannot believe this is posted by someone with an "aftermarket" framed bike...:D

Touche;)

Although I'd say an aftermarket frame serves more of a purpose than a "colored" hose.

One day........when I've got money to burn.:p

I just keep throwing money at mine, pretty soon I'll have so much invested into it I'll never be able to sell it. I'll probably stop modding when I run out parts that can be upgraded. :p

No then you start changing out the parts you've modded because you wonder if this part is really better that that part, and you just have tot ry them both so you know. haha.
