Stock Bearing Carrier or Aftermarket

I am in the middle of rebuilding my 04. I just purchased a RPM axle and was wondering if you guys think its better to put in a aftermarket carrier in or keep the stock. I am on a budget so Id rather not spend the cash on a new one. Also how do I know if the stock carriers bearings are still good? Do they make kits to rebuild the stocker. Whats the benefit of going with the dual row bearing carrier? Thanks for any help

ive had nothing but problems with a stock carrier---- switched to a lsr and had noooo problems at all----- its worth it to me to be able to trust it!!!!
