front sprocket

Hi all,just bought a 13t front sprocket for my 07 400ex.One thing i've noticed is that it doesn't have any bolt holes drilled in it.It has a slide on like clip,Is this normal and how effectively would the clip hold it on the shaft.

what kind of sprocket did you get. i bought a 13t renthal sprocket for mine '07 and it had 2 bolt holes plus the clip. it should have bolt holes in it.

I have the same sprocket that is held on with the clip too. I also thaught it was pretty sketchy, but I put it on, and haven't had any problems, and that was about 6 mos. ago. You should be fine
