Get a lowering kit (durablue) for the front and a new strut for the rear. Once you change your rear strut you will need a new set of needle bearrings for it. That is a start...for TT getting the quad squatted makes alot of diff. You have a small budget, so I would look at changing your gearing also. Maybe a 36t for the rear if your axle will take it? Have fun riding TT, it's a blast!

I have a dura blue front lowering kit that I can make a good deal for you. I used them but I ended up getting shocks that I can adjust. The best deal I found on new tires are about $80 here in Iowa, let me know if you are intersted and I can look up the number for you. A sway bar is a must. If you are handy enough you can make your own. Mine is home made and it works alright. I would not mind getting something different but I don't know if I am going do any tt or flat track racing next year or not.
Keep a look out in the classified section and ebay. You will be suprised how far $300 will go. ;)

If I remember right from the article in the october dirtwheels where they had tips on tt racing they said that tires are a must if you want to be competitive.
