1987 TRX 250r $2800
Here's the deal. I found this bike in a barn in 05 (bone stock).
I got it from the original owner who bought it in Ohio.
I cleaned a birds nest out of the airbox, pulled the head to
check the cylinder and put fresh gas in it and fired it after about
15 kicks. Since then I have completely gone through the bike.
This bike has been my baby and if it does not sell, I will keep it,
but my wife just had my new baby and some toys need to turn into money.
Here are the stats:
New itp .190's and razors all around (last fall)
Top end rebuild May of this year. 4 gallon of gas since break-in
Bottom end rebuild in fall of 05 (crank, bearings, clutch, 89 updates)
Full skid plates
A-arms and swingarm pulled, sandblasted, and painted.
New A-arm bushings, ball joints tight
Powdercoated steering stem
Aluminum radiator shrouds with overflow bottle built inside
DG front bumper
AC grab bar
Fully rebuilt breaks (calipers, masters, stainless rear lines)
400ex thumb throttle (stocker was stiff)
MSR clutch lever
MSR cr high bend polished bars
billet rear bearing carrier.
Rad axle lock nut
Paul Turner type 6 chrome pipe with fat boy silencer.
I also have everything to put the bike back to stock.
Stock skids
headlight and guard
steering stem
key and dash still on the bike (only one I have ever seen)
exhaust (has been sandblasted and high temp painted) makes the bike very tame
handlebars (slightly bent with a weld)
high/low beam, kill switch
clutch lever
Tool box (missing lid)
Front bumper (not bent at all)
The bike has the stock front plastic and stock seat cover on it (looks 20 years old)
Stock rear fenders (frankenstein)
I have maier rear fenders on and a spare set of maier fronts w/hood that goes w/it.
Extra uni filter
I currently run the bike with the full air snorkel and a lid on the airbox.
I ride with a 45hp raptor and he narrowly beats me in a drag race (half bike),
throw a turn or two in and no one has ever kept up.
I have a new 38 Air Stiker and Boyesen reed cage that can be sold with the bike
or separately (not until the bike sells).
