On my 250r it's bogging down on low rpm, High rpm it rocks. Should i go bigger or smaller on the jetting?

I don't know, haven't opened it up yet. I just put a cr250 quad vent carb on it.

Ouch...thats an open question, you might want to change the slow jet if its boggin really hard down low. How is the flow throughout the powerband?

It runs perfect once you get to about half throttle. I'm running around 40:1 too. I thought i might be running a little rich but i really don't think so.

40:1 is perfect

your pilot jet and airscrew along with needle clip are the prob. main jet is 3/4 to full throttle

Another quick question. If i move the needle clip up it will do???? If i move the needle clip down it will do??? Thanks again.

Generally, this is how jetting is controlled, but its a little more complicated when trying to get it perfect:

-closed to 1/4 throttle is controlled by the pilot jet and air screw

-1/4 to 3/4 throttle is controlled by the jet needle

-3/4 to Full throttle is controlled by the main jet

If you are bogging right off the bat when you roll on the throttle, try going a tad leaner on the air screw before changing the pilot jet (on my CR250, counterclockwise is leaner).

If you are bogging between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle, try adjusting the needle clip. Moving the clip closer to the "head" of the needle makes it leaner. Moving the clip closer to the "point" of the needle makes it richer.
