400ex vs. cr125

im thinking about getting a cr125 and what would be faster. my 400ex has a slip-on w/ jets and the cr125 w/ pipe and jets.

i would say cr 125. my bros kx would smoke me all day lonmg. plus dirtbikes are sooooooooooooooooo much cheaper when it comes to aftermarket parts. i wish my ffrist atv was a dirtbike.

Both have about the same top speed but the CR will out accelerate the ex.

not really true, my buddy has a 03 cr125, full ehxaust, jetted, head milled, and my 400ex had stage one cams and a uni and jets, and he would put say 5-10 feet on me in first gear because i would either bog, or huge wheelie, then we stayed exactly even. if i could of got out of the hole better, they would be the same.

he now has a 06 crf250r, stock, and it smokes me

i would DEFF. go 4 poke... i have had a 2 stroke and road my buddys 250f and its like night and day....



my brother and his friend both raced cr 125, and kx 125.... and my brother was a little bit better.... then the kid with the cr got a cr250f and was smokin my brother.... that was in the youth... and that kid usto get like 7th in the youth, now he is racing in the amature class and getting like 2nd every race...
