I'm taking my first trip to the dunes next month and trying to decide what sand tires to get. I heard the Haulers are the best, but rather expensive too. I already have 8" beadlocks laying around, so I might as well use them even though there probably not needed for the sand. I'm just going to get rear paddles and use my mx holeshots for the front. The only thing I'm not sure about is my front tires are 19"... so do they make 18" rear paddles? Or would they be horrible to even consider? I was just going to get 20" rear paddles, but then I just realized they'd sit higher than my front tires:( That might be kinda weird:huh When they measure the tires, are they also measuring the blade on the tire? Because the Haulers have a 7/8" blade, so it might seem more like a 18-19" tire then. Haha sorry for all the questions:p

I'd go for the 20's, if they're not big enough you can always stretch 'em.

Haulers are good paddles if you ride in strait lines. They make it tuff to turn. I would go for some sand stars or other good v paddles. I don't think it really matters what size you get it won't be much of a difference. But idk

Go for the 20", you'll want the ground clearence in the sand;) As for being taller than the front i'm not sure how that will affect the ride, maybe you can borrow a set?

Haulers are great tires and are not difficult to turn, v-style are easier to though.

Where are you going?

We're heading to Florence, OR:) Thanks for the info! I've talked to a couple people and they all prefered the straight style, so I think I'm gonna go with the Haulers:D Plus I'll get 20 bucks off Rocky Mointain, so why not! As for the fronts, hmm... I wish I could find a really cheap set of rims with the 4:1 offset, then I'd just buy a cheap set with front sand tires on them.

Thanks^^^ I emailed them both just double checking the offset, since none of them say. But they do look like 4:1.
