Engine Noise.

We have a Recon ES,its a 250.

The engine has been making a odd tinking noise, we adjusted the valves and no luck, sound seems to be coming from the top end.

Any suggestions?

yeah mines been doing the same, ran fine yesterday pulled a few things parked it, today go out and now its makes a rattle sound when reving up or blurping the throttle, also when in gear acelerating.

dont know if it helps but the only thing ive been able to find out as far as possible problem is a loose timing chain slaping, but im not toally sure lol

could very well be a stretched timing chain.. How did you adjust your valves?

very common mine did the same thing i have the 250ex, tell them to adjust your automatic cam chain tensioner and u will still have a little tink, the tink is common with this motor, does it do this when u fire it up or does it start once the motor warms up
