What will have to do to get my 300ex running with the 450s. i can run with the 400s on a stock motor but not in the straits. i was thinking a cr500 motor or trx250r motor. i have good suspention but no the motor to do it. i was goin to sell it but i love the bike and cant bring my self to. unless i get some one to give me the right price.

As long as you can ride, stay in the woods or on a techincal mx track, the 450s will destroy you in the long straights. You can get some hp from a built 300 but not near the 50hp range of a tuned 4 fiddy:(

Performance wise. Not a dang thing.

The technology (head design, etc), just isn't there.

Just get them to go where it's all rider. ;)

Ahh.. I see that now.

I've seen 250r motors done. But for the price and headache.. you may as well buy a full aftermarket 250r.

CR500 motor in a 300ex frame = a painful, bloody, death.. lol.

a bored 380 kit with headwork, proper cam and carb will run with stock 450s.

yes but the way i will be making the hybrid it will be using a 450r swing arm and rubber in the mounts. it will have rubber gromets at all the mounts. it will have 400ex front end with shocks. dont know the size yet! it will also have 60 hp stock and i bet it will out handle and run the 450s. this is wat mine will look like but red and black with a 450r swinger and a long travel front end.

The longer 450r swinger will sure help.

It would definatly be a fun quad.. lol. I've always wanted to build a CR500 quad.

Good rubber mounts, and an anti vibe stem w/ flex bars and you probably wouldn't lose your teeth.. lol.

that's a sweet ride, either way watch out these frames flex alot when you start pushing them.

You just have to homegrow one. ;) If you do a search for "300ex gusset", there is a couple good threads on where you need to gusset.
