exhaust packing

How important is it to repack an exhaust? My quad was burning some oil for some time but now that has been taken care of and I was just wondering if I am loosing power with the original packing in a WB E-Series which is about 3 years old.

you lose some power not that noticable though but wen you repack it it sounds 1000 times better

i repack mine once every two years. it doesnt really make that much of a difference. just sounds different really

I just repacked my wb e-series a couple of weeks ago and before i did the repack my silencer was noticeably louder and lost a little low end power.The e-series is easy to repack and you will pick up a little preformance,and yes it will sound a lot better.

the directions that came with my yosh pipe told me to repack my muffle every 8-10 hrs of ride time. to me that is too soon. i will wait till it starts to sound raspy rather than the nice deep tone it has now
