Hey is thier anything i can do to my carb on my 04 450r to make it flow better. Its all rejeted for my motor mods. Thanks

you can bore it to make it bigger. Youd probally see more improvment with a taper bore.

Bigger isnt always better. Usualy increaseing the size of the carborator changes the low pressure areas. It tends to even decrease the velocity of A/F mix. Bigger carbs for bigger engines.

Is anyone boring 04/05 TRX450R carbs? Seems like you'd need a new (larger) butterfly and I wonder about the slide. The 06+ TRX450R's FCR carb is a different animal and doesn't have those issues by way of its design.

AFAIK, upgrading an 04/05 carb is probably best approached by looking into replacing it altogether.

since mine is a kick start and has hot start can i put a 06-07 kickstart carb on mine since they are bigger and have hot start

No you cant bore a stock 04-05 carb, if you can find a carb off a 07 kick start it would work but i think the air boot on the 06-07 is bigger or smaller then the 04-05 so you would have to modify your air box for it to work. your best bet is to get a crf450 carb off like an 04 and get the noss machine carb adapter for it
