I like the GT's, my dream car is a Saleen S281, or a Lightning with a KB swap.

Very nice!

Any tickets yet?

Pappy
07-26-2007, 09:00 PM
no tickets on the way home:p my last "car" was a low 11 second daily driver so this is slow by comparison. if i wanted fast id build fast, this will work well to help me pass the commute in a bit more comfort and also allow me not to be in a monday morning rush to un-hook the trailer etc:p

JOEX

I hear ya about the tow rig vs the daily commuter routine, the Subaru is much more comfortable than the Dakota but not as quick as the Mustang:p

Tell us about the 11 sec car :D

it was a 91 mustang lx with all the typical bolt on goodies, worked heads, cam , exhaust gears and a supercharger. my wife drove it when she was pregnant with cody , i geuss it ram high 12's then, and i just kept learning to get more out of it. best pass was a 11.24 on radials. i drove it everywhere:p ofcourse by the time it was over, it had no creature comforts and was hell on wet roads but i had a blast and didnt get into much trouble with it. now, 10 years later i dont even have the urge to see how well it will take a corner or just how much the tranny will take from power shifting it:devil: i can usually break a T-5 at will, 3rd gear is a bit weak:p one weekend i went through 3 or 4 trannys at one event:ermm: wife didnt like the credit card bill that followed:scary:

Must be where Cody got some racing instinct:D Aren't racing and creature comforts an oxymoron, road performance nowadays is about the best gas mileage lol...

nice gt. i think that billet grill is a must. i have to say im a bigger fan of the older fox body stangs though. most people i talk to think their ugly as hell lol, but i like em. Anyways, nice car pappy

lose the billet grille, lower it, get an MGW orange handle, JLT intake, LT's, O/R X, SCT XCal2 and a good dyno tune and it will be a completely different beasts... 2v's love boost too, so a procharger or a vortech on a couple pounds wouldnt hurt any

Which 450?

Man that car looks nice as hell, nice color

Nice car, but don't be knockin the Maximas too much. I have an '02 Maxima SE 6 spd with the 255HP 3.5 L V6 and have given several stock Fox-body 5.0s and SN95 Mustangs a run for their money.

Ditto on that. I have an 02 also. It is much fun to play sometimes. Stang suppose to be fast and when they can't lose you or you pull on them...Priceless

Nice car by the way.

I understood, and the Mach 1 has a hood shaker, not a scoop, so theres a hole in the hood where it sticks out.

Nice car Pappy, looks real clean. I believe when me and my buddy were looking at those new, the GT's were rated at 29mph highway!

They'll still never get that V8 sounds, whether the same speed or not...:p

This is identical to how my '02 Maxima 6spd sounds...maybe not like a Mustang V8, put pretty good none the less...
