Been Looking for a while now , and have been using a lame excuse about not wanting to damage rims in an Enduro , but the truth is the stock rims , light as they are , have taken a beating .
It's time to ride on Round again .

correct. they r about as heavy as stock 1's. i bought them for glamis=) what ever you do dont get the painted 1's. my bro did and now they look like crap.

haha... guys please dont make fun of the helmet im wearing... i dont got like 300 for one lol

mine was free... EVERYTHING but the stickers and wings....

its my bros old vega helmet

sanded down with my bros sand paper

painted numerous times with my bros flat black paint

goggles were found, at a race.... on the side of the track (40 dollar goggles for free)

put 5 bucks worth of stickers on it, and wings

finaly clear coated with his clear


i would like a new one soon.. .but need parts for my wheeler

it is an M2R helmet. Real comfy and seems to breath well. Not the most expensive but it works for me. I picked it up for around 150.00. I got the BAMF sticker from sledporndotcom. It is a snomobile website that I frequent. They have some sik stuff for sale on there.

I had an old "Yamaha of Troy" Bell helmet that I had bought when I got my Banshee in 2000. Seeing as how the color scheme of it (Yamaha blue, white and silver) didn't fit with my new 400EX, I sanded it down and painted it flat black.

A friend of mine is a tattoo artist that likes to paint as a hobby. I think I'm gonna set him loose on it. His "style" of tattooing is more old-school than anything else. Seeing as how that is the new trend in helmet graphics, I'll be all set!

These are my daughters last year and this past seasons helmets...The one with more green is from last year. She broke the visor off which is why the tape. Sno-Cross rule change started strict enforcement of 50% orange rule, so we had new ones done for the last season. Her brothers are the same...

The fox helmet I posted above is a V3 that's normally $375 but Rocky Mountain has it on closeout for $180 right now. If you've never tried on a v3 their very nice and extremely light, like 2.8 lbs or something like that and ventilation is better than any other helmet I've ever had. Just a little fyi.

Walmart had a closeout on some really nice DOT/Snell bell mx helmets. Its cheaper but its saved my noggin just fine. Best part of it all...25 bucks!

Indeed. By now its time for a new one and a new set of goggles. The goggle foam is falling off and the helmet liner is not only ratty its kinda tearing a bit by now.

Think ill wait till xmas, only gonna ride maybe 6-10x more this year till the snow comes.

Indeed, I tend to ride till it gets unbearable and snowy. But sooner or later it gets unridable unless you got a snowmobile.

CJM: Definitely get Spy goggles! I'm not saying that cause I'm sponsored either, I bought them before I got sponsored, they've lasted me two and a half riding seasons, they haven't faded, broken or failed in any way and they NEVER fog up. By far the highest quality goggles I've owned.

01boneless: Not for me!! Most of the racing is in the winter here actually, it's warm enough all year round, it's cold but it's not ever below 35 degrees. It sucks to ride in and the rain is not fun but it's one of the more fun seasons too. Also I love how you still hangout in the 400ex forum even though you bought a 450r! We're cooler over here ;)

I been looking into spy Rohr, decent looking stuff I guess. Im more interested in oakley or progrip, mostly progrip b/c they have light sensitive lens' and for the riding I do it would come in super handy.

Never heard of progrip but that sounds really awesome. I like Oakley's, they're about equal in quality with the Spy's I have, I just liked the designs and colors that Spy offered better and they were about the same price.

It's all personal preference though, if you're gonna spend 50+ on goggles you better like them!

I think motorcycle superstore has some good deals on goggles right now just fyi, I may be wrong on that one but usually I can get my goggles from them for 1/3 of the price... about the same price you spent on your helmet! Nice job on that by the way!

ya the 400ex is so simple you will be a master in a year or to lol wait till you rebuild your ex everyone thinks there hard and stuff but they are realy easy to work on the 450r isent bad actully im on a diffrent site for it cause the 450 forum on here isnt "bommin" sorta speak lol also tune in on utube over the winter there is big plans on the rebuild inside and out :D
