stock vs custom

my stock frame isn't all that badly bruised (scratched) up and i was wondering if they have some weird paint or if i am lucky. i am considering paint my whole frame and sub flat black. i would use heavy duty offroad etc. paint. i was wondering if it would scratch easy compared to stock.

I hear of a lot of people powder coating there bikes, don't know how it holds up tho.

Powdercoating is bullet proof, it takes an act of god to get it off. Paint won't hold up real well, send it to the PC shop and have it done right.

id say ud be waisting ur time if u just painted it. itd take a lot of time and it probably wouldnt last that long. powder coating is the way to go. ull break a frame before u scratch it
