Im lookin at buying a trail tech flywheel that is -4oz im just wondering if anyone else has one if its worth it. I already have high compression piston and hotcams.

I would suggest against a lighter flywheel for the 450r,..

what about a heavier one, chad?

it really depends on why you want the flywheel in the first place..

a heavier flywheel helps maintain rotation, helps to reduce losses in the pumping in the higher rpm. Does that equate to more measureable power? not really... helps it to prevent stalling though,....

a lighter flywheel will feel that it revs faster, but it doesnt really contribute to more measureable power... stalls easy too!

Ive heard of people increasing the weight on the flywheel when running higher compression. Helps the motor compress the Air and fuel. This allows it to be run. smoother in the lower rpm ranged
