Hey sorry for keep on asking about trucks but i wanna make sure i buy the right one. I found a chevy s-10 zr2 with brand new tires its in excellent condition. The only down side is that it has 135,000 miles. The miles are only highway miles. How long do these motors last and am i getting a good deal and are these trucks reliable. The dealer wants 8,450. Thanks

What size engine? If it is the 4.3 they will outlast you.

I have a 4.3L Blazer(same thing, just SUV version) with over 100k miles and it still runs great.

he aint kidding about them 4.3s. we had an old s10 with 289,000 on it and the tranny went first. wasnt much to look at but damn did it keep rolling.

The motors are solid, but the rest of the vehicle isn't... check out consumer reports, the s-10 and the blazer are among the worst used vehicles to purchase...

that doesnt mean every s10 or blazer is beat to $hit

Um ok, but that does mean that a lot of people had more problems with those than other vehicles... did you even read what I posted... consumer reports isn't based off of one vehicle...

umm i dont know what people are saying about them being bad vechicles. I have a 2002 s10 with 186,000kms, and it was stolen by some guys they took it off roading got it stuck and left it there. The only thing that broke on the truck was one rear leaf. They are rock solid trucks.
