Deal to good to be true question

I was wondering about a atv I have a chance to buy that is way to cheap for what it is. I think its probably a case of someone financed it and quit making payments to the bank. But in that case what is the title status? Do they try to get the money from the owner? Or if the bike was stolen how can I find out? Is there any way to run the vin other than have a cop do it? I want to get it but I dont want futher problems with the law or anything.

Doesn't seem too out of the ordinary for me... we sold our 03 z400 last winter for $1750... It wasn't in the greatest shape but thats what we sold it for.

Ask the seller for the vin on the frame and the motor and have them run. Your local dealer could probably do that for you and give you the heads up on it.

i dont think the dvx 400 holds much value after being bought because alot of people are into the 450r,yfz450,ltr
