Why do new axles rust first time out? im on my 3rd axle over 3 years and they start rusting the same day i ride like mudy tracks or washing bike off once they rust they are dun i only yous LSR axles are they chrome or polished.

my durablue is about 5 years old and has no rust.. my stock never had any rust..

dont know why yours is rusting out that bad.. maybe try chain wax on it..

After you wash it up spray it down with WD-40 :cool:

it is just surface rust, it don't hurt anything...after you wash it, use some drywall sandpaper on it, it will will give it a shine better than new

if you are riding it in mud... some mud will have alot of natural corrossive minerals in it and eat away at stuff. the stock axles arent really coated with anything. they are pretty much bare. if anything, you could sit there with the bike in second gear with the back wheels off the ground spinning the axle, use some 400 grit sand paper held against the axle, use some penetrating oil to lube it and polish it back up that way.
