Scrubbing

Well i just saw the "whip" thread, and i know that if you can whip, that dosent help you at all, so i thought id see how everyone scrubs. Ive seen the pros, mainly wienen, creamer, brown and wimmer scrub many diff ways. I know it can save alot of time when you are racing, so what are your ways of scrubbin it? Here are some pics of me trying to scrub...

whats scrub mean? seriously

I just soak up the take off with my knees before my quad does. So the quad doesnt shoot off and my legs take the jump. works good, no pics tho.

It couldnt have been said any better, thats basically scrubbing on a quad.

its weird you brought this up cause i was just explainin it earlier. when i go off the face of a jump i try to stay low on the quad and take the hit of the "bounce" so to speak from the shocks when they hit the lip of the jump

so u like be standing coming to the jump , then like try to kinda soak up the take off with your legs and wat does this do? make u not preload and not go far or what?

Just make sure you dont accidently seat bounce when your trying to scrub. Ive had it happen a few times myself, trying to stay low before the jump and get a little crossed up and end up sitting or my butt hitting the seatand preload it at the takeoff. Thats always a fun surprise:devil:

haha oh man, i know that feeling...:ermm: lol. I hate also when you seatbounce and your a little to far up on the seat, scarriest thing ever.:p

i know that the faster dirtbikers around here hit the front brakes on the face of a jump....my friend harris tried it on his track the other day on his ltr and said its really hard, but he can see where it would help you out

haha yea if u dont do it perfect it messes ya up, but its crazy watching the fast guys doing it...its gotta be possible on a quad too

I cant scrub. But when if u lean over the bars with ur chest over the bars on the face of the jump n bend ur knees as ur leaving the ground u dont go as high. Maybe it doesnt do anything? It feels like im going faster haha
