So I am writting a paper on the history of ATVs in the United States. I have found alot of information but I was looking for how many were produced and sold at different points since 1970.

Everything I find says the first ATC 90 was introduced in 1970 and later they made the 70 for younger riders and after that they made the 110 because people wanted more power. But I can't find anything that says what the supply and demand was like.

Any ideas on where I could find this kind of info? Or if such info even exsists on the internet? Essentially I want to be able to say X number of ATC90s were manufactured and sold for about 595$ in 1970 and then be able to compare it to today how many are manufactured and sold. For the purposes of this paper I am only discussing Honda & Yamaha. Any help will be appreciated greatly!

Don't know if you'll find sales numbers, but check out http://www.3wheelerworld.com/index.shtml for old adds, brochures, and other history.

haha me too! I am actually writing this paper as a favor for my boyfriend. I am done with school for the summer and he has a full course load along with his senior project, so I said I would write it for him. Plus I write better papers than him haha

yea thats a good point. i was kind of already thinking that, because i had read that in some of my research. the reason I said Honda & Yamaha only is because I needed to narrow the topic down or I'd end up with a hundred page paper. but you're right it would be silly to write the history of ATVs and leave out the first quad.

Actually I don't think they were A-arms until 1990 or 91, Banshee's started in 87, but I could be wrong on that.
