ok i know this is a dumb question but here it is are the shocks still compressed a lil when the bike is completley off the ground? i want to clean and possibly paint the a-arms.... and pics of that would be great also... thanks for the help

Should of put it in suspension / steering, might get some better responses.

When its off the ground, the shocks are as long as theyre going to get. You need to powdercoat ur a-arms though. You wont ever get paint to hold up.

x2. it will start to crack and peel wherever something hits it (grass roots etc)

Also, are your A-arms stock ones or after market ones. Because if their stock you won't be able to powdercoat them because the rubber around the joint will melt. But if their aftermarket arms your ok.

they are stock arms... what are some other options that i can do? soo how long does the paint usually hold up?

they are stock arms... what are some other options that i can do? soo how long does the paint usually hold up? if your going to use paint do what i did to my a-arms and frame use epoxy paint its just like oem factory paint and holds up just as well and its less exspensive.i bought the paint at Rockymountain for like $7 a can and used their clear coat over the top great finish and looks like it came from the factory.

sounds good. do you use a primer? im thinking yea but jsut want to be sure and if soo does that pj1 make a primer?

thats not true pc doesnt get hot enough to melt the rubber i have stock a-arms and i had them pc'd they they came out perfectly fine
