Ive been lookin into axles lately and was wonderin if all the people saying the durablues are right. I have also heard stories about people who have alot of axles and the durablues have worked the best for them. I see one on ebay that i like right now and am thinkin about buying so just tell me if the rumors are true and if i should get one. I was thinkin it would be just fine for me since i only do harescrambles and dont really hit any big jumps. The one im lookin at is +2.

I liked mine for 7 months until I bent it,,I then sold it. Also I only seen one broken axle at the GNCC race this past weekend,,and yes it was a durabreak..don't get it.

well the only reason that everyone hears about durablue axles breaking is because they have the most axles sold out of any company. all ive ever put on my quads have been durablue's and i have never had one break before. the only reason i have 3 of em right now is because i keep upgrading to the next one. and toby if you want a real cheap one PM me. ive got my old Eliminator for sale and i only rode on it for 9 rides. its mint.

Durablue is fine....your not flying the 3rd story triples yet? I would suggest that you get rid of the stock locking nut though when you replace your axle. There is a good review posted on this site for a less expensive locking nut. :D

I can't see a huge problem with them unless your hitting fair sized jumps with them. But then again i have never used one, I'd listen to Rico and Forum on this one.

my uncle has one on his raptor...
i should say had but im not sure cuz it is on there still...and it is bent about a 1/2... they dont polish good when u get them... and from what i have heard and expiereinced with the raptor they are weak...

and the waranty sux! they replace it once then it is like 180 then ur done... so dumb if it is such a good axle they should have a full life time like the lonestar... rpm... and i think rad makes an axle correct me if im wrong

not flaming just statin my opinion

Durabend's warranty isn't a true warranty, you can read it on their own website. If you bend it or break and you return it they charge you $175 for it!! What kind of warranty is that? If you bend or break a LSR or RPM you return it and they send you a new one no questions asked.

Actually LSR will only straighten it if it isnt bent too far out of spec. Ask wyndzer he just sent his back to be straightened for the second time. Im not sure about RPM

OH and i believe durabreak i mean blue will give ya the first one free after that they are pro-rated.:D

I don't know about all you guys but I'd rather pay the extra money for a RPM axle and NEVER have to worry about it again...its a done deal...makes sense to me :blah

You only have to pay the $175 if you break or bend the replacement axle they have sent you. So they give you a free one after the first break or bend and then any other axle after that is $175. I figure that if I break the first one I'll just sell the replacement and buy a more expensive, by that time I should have enough money.

whats a better axle RPM or LSR and whats the price on both?

I've seen 4 durablue axles break. two of them were my friends, one was hitting about a 45ft. double and the other was on a little single jump. the other two were guys that i race with. one was a guy on a raptor, and the other was on a 400ex. both my friends have 400ex's also. I say spend a little extra money and get a LSR or RPM. it's worth it. I highly recomend RPM. they are a little higher priced BUT they are strong.

RAD actually makes a titanium axle that is super strong but super expensive. RPM makes a dominator 2 axle that is supposed to be super strong too.

guys, i think i will just wait till the summer and see how my stock one holds up this winter racing season, remember i dont need some really high tech axle made out of something high tech, i just need like a plus 2 or heavy duty. I dont plan on hitting 45ft doubles.

just get what you can. I broke my durablue on a little jump. I have done way bigger jumps and then one day it just broke in practice. mind you it was very old. Although lsr's have a better waranty, i've heard there customer support can suck. Dura blues replaing my axle and I bought it used, but i told some white lies. Ill keep the durablue as a spare and run an rpm on my quad. I may sell it but I want to keep it if i can afford it

on durablues website they say used axles cant be used for the warranty how did you get around that.

i've heard/seen a lot of bad stuff about durablue, I personally would go with lsr or even rpm and make it my last axle. 2 axles broke in my last race and I know one for sure was a durablue, didn't see the other one.
