balljoints spinning?

okay, so i'm taking my arms back off and the balljoints are now spinning with the nut

i've been told this is normal with balljoints but wtf, how am i supposed to get them back off?

Squeeze them down with a c-clamp.

It's a tapered fit, the ball joint is supposed to fit into the spindle, once it does that it won't spin anymore.
