Looks good so far, What made you want to do the 450r instead of like a CRF or a YZ426?

i got it at a price that you can't beat + i ride alot at night and i won't have to change anything to have lights,an i like that it kicks forward..but mainly the price

I'm a little woried about my frame, theres some gussets in it now but i was wondering what some of you guys did to make the frame stronger

heres some more pics i have it all ready to start assembling, but i was wondering if any of you guys think it needs some more gussets.i have a few in what i think might be the high stress areas.. i didn't go to nuts cause i heard it has to beable to flex and if i made it to stiff things would start to crack?

well here in the yellow are gussets i have an in blue is where i might put a few more.

tell me what you guys think ,good, bad any imput or help would be great i realy want to get this thing back on the trails but i don't want it to be all messed up

thanks Joe

Mine has the gussets on all the places you have in blue and then some, Its got some were the steering stem mounts to the frame. you have it in blue.. Suposedly its a common place for braking and cracking...

the only place i had problems with cracking is were the steering stem mounts to the frame, I guess its a common thing tho. Just had my step dad throw a nice weld on it with the tig and havn't had anymore problems, That thing is prety nice!

Cool... The only thing i dont like about my conversion is you have to pull the motor to get the big clutch cover off. And, Any ideas on a kicker that will fit??

"THE ShoP"

i never tried any other kind of kicker,i was thinking it would be to hard to kick without the leverage of the longer kicker

if you look back at the pictures of my frame you'll see where i put guesset's. that will give you a good idea where to start when you do it. I haven't had any breaks yet and i've realy ben beating the crap out of it to see if its going to hold up.
