250x good quad??

im buying a 250x 87 is it worth buying....and should i rebuild my engine since its such an old quad......and how fast does teh quad go stock?

Stock w/ stock limiter and tires.. about 55mph +/-

It's a great quad. Odds are you won't need to rebuild. They are a rock solid motor.

Run leakdown test on the cylinder and it will tell you if you need new rings, valves, etc..

It's virtually the same quad as a 300ex (that they still sell). It's just a kick start w/ a slightly shorter stroke. However generally stock for stock or light mods.. the 250x is faster in a drag race. (higher compression and revs up quicker)
