what gearing do you run

Just running what gearing all of you run for MX. i run a 14/39
18in tires and a mildly built motor. i'm having trouble clearing anything over 50ft. seems like i need to drop tooth or two on the rear.

try a 14/37 and see how it pulls :cool:

thats what i was thinking, i have a 36spare, but i thought that wouldn't get me out of the corners quick enough.

it may. try it and see. if it doesnt. switch to a 13 up front.

14/38 was the "usual" MX gearing back in the day.. it's a good all around gearing.. works well on most tracks whether wide open or tight.

what gear do you all usually try to run in, i was running in 3rd for most of the jumps on the middle track at breezewood.

with 20" tires i run a 14/38 but when i run the 18" it wouldnt hurt for me to run a 14/36 or 37

when i run 20's i like 13-39or40 with a 265 i think that 14-38 and 20's is a little much on the top end side....
