since a 250r front end fits on a 400ex with out no problem will it be ok to put 250r a-arms on a 300ex w/ 250r shocks w/ the longer shock mount from JB?

so really the question is, will it sit to low w/ the set up ^above or to high?

It will work fine. It should sit close to stock ride height also.

If I'm not mistaken the 250r and 400ex shocks are the same length so they should work fine. Are you planning to use stock 250r/400ex shocks? If so you may want to consider aftermarket shocks or at least the newer style 400ex shocks that can be rebuilt to work with your setup. Otherwise they will not perform as well as they could.

If you use anything other than stock length 400ex/250r shocks you will need LT a arms as well. The LT shocks are longer.

You could run...
400/250r LT a arms
LT 400ex shocks
upper shock bracket
