its about time to sell the only quad i have left to someone who can find more time than i do to ride it. for the past 2 years its been ridden about once a month, up and down the road a couple times.

lets see if i can remember what all is done. It's been bored "as big as it can be bored" using a stock cylinder, whatever that means.

Longrod
Wiseco Piston
Down Time port & polishing (used to be pretty big around here)
FMF pipe
something about a cr250 intake conversion?
v-force reeds
keihn 38mm carb (i think)
nearly brand new plastic
chrome a-arms, swingarm, axle, motor mounts, kick starter, foot pegs etc.
lots of things are polished

im sure im forgetting a lot, its been a while.

if anyone knows of chris bartholemew, this was his bike. he won the chili bowl nationals on it, i dont remember what year it was. and he sold it to bill pope. it used to have flat black plastic, and the seat had flames on it. maybe someone remembers it knows a little more about it than i do?

anyways, I suppose i will put it in the boat bike and rv trader. what would you guess i could get out of it around oklahoma?

250R will always be sick and respected but it can be difficult to sell them now a days beacsue most go 4 stroke and can for just alittle bit more money. Only the hard core guys go with a 250R now a days it seems. I would say ask $3000.

-craigslist.com (great place for selling but you will get lowballed)
-exriders.com (this site of course)
-trx250r.net (Kinda a ghost town but still usefull)
-Bike and boat traders good but not as good as it used to be i think.
-ebay.com of course!! use this and bike and boat trader as your last resort even though I've had my best luck with it. This way you may be able to dodge paying to sell it. Plus ebays good because you wont get geeks posting "your asking to much cause my friends friends uncles friends sister brother found one for cheaper"

And of course parting it all the volchers (like myself) will be all over it.

Good luck, and don't give the thing away. ALSO try to find out exactly what mods it has and be confident that what you have IS the hotness.

I would say ask $3000.

That would be WAY low in Oregon... holy s*&@ if I could have gotten a bike like that for $3K I would have been one happy camper.

eBay seems to be OK *if* you've got lots of really great pictures and you have 3 good ones. The more the better.
