My New Truck

The wife and I just picked up my new toy today.It's an '02 Chevy 2500HD Crew Cab with the 6.0 liter v-8.My old '97 GMC Z-71 was starting to have problems(166,000 miles might have been the problem) so it was time for an upgrade

very nice...we own a 03 2500hd as a work truck and its been good to us....no major problems as of yet and it does what it needs to do with no trouble

I know the gas issue is going to be big.Luckily I only live 10 minutes from work so its not going to break the bank.

I've got an 03 ext cab with that engine. No problems, but it loves gas!!!

I knew ahead of my purchase the gas mileage wasn't going to be great.I have a cousin with an '01 ext.cab with the 6.0 and he complains about the mileage he gets.I really needed the crew cab so the motor options were limited.I would have preferred the diesel but it does not fit my budget and I surely wasn't going to buy one with the 8100 motor(I would have had to strap a gas station to the truck then).I am very pleased with the truck so far,it has a fabtech 6 inch lift,new kuhmo tires and Mickey Thompson wheels.My wife is only 5'6" so I get a good laugh watching her get in and out of it.
