Head Lights dim when reved

I had my 2001 300ex in storage for a year or so. I jump started it today and while driving it around..The headlight would shine bright, except when I would rev the engine, then they would go dim. Is this the sign of a dead battery? I had a trickle charger on it all night and it just clicks when I try to turn it over.
Why didn't they put a back up kickstarter on these?

well if it sat that long and your solenoid is clicking it probably means your battery is dead, i would definatly buy a new one and that should definatly solve your problem
