Powervalve or not

Well my brother got a RM 250 with an overbore and a few other goodies and i was wondering how u tell if its a powevalve or not. This thing ripes wheelies in 5th and the guy he bought it off of said its one of the fastest 250 hes driven and he has a track and races sometimes ( i think). So how do u tell?

What year is it? I think all RM250s have had some sort of variable exhaust valve device since since the mid 80's.

Yes, it does have a "powervalve".
