I just pulled them today with a bearing puller (claw type) I got from auto zone...Whoever does this make sure you do not torque on the stud in the case with one of the claws. I used a large screwdriver to hold the claw in place while I torqued the threaded shaft (also put a 13 mm socket to avoid damagin threads inside the crankshaft.)
