from my experience the 04/05 450r has more power than the 06/07

04 yfz, they have even more power then a 450r but theyre uncomfortable compared to the newer bikes

I agree with 416exfreak but I have heard the yfz may be better on the track but arent faster stock to stock

If you want to beat him, get a bike similar to what he has. If you get an 04 450r, you will be out of the picture. They aren't even close to being as powerful as the newer models...and that is experience from having an 05, 06, and 07 450r-the 05 having two different engines and setups. The 04 YFZs are about like the 04 450rs...it really varies from rider to rider and place to place that determines the winner. The 660 Raptors aren't even close...so leave them out of the picture. Aside from handling and feeling horrible, they are much slower than the bikes out now....if you would have said 700 Raptor, you would have been in the ballpark. The Quadzilla is an animal, but is basically a speed only quad. If you are looking to go fast in a straight line, that is your ticket.

In the end, though, it usually comes down to rider.

310 or 330 250r :D, out of those, id say the yfz with some mods, but doesnt the 04's have some kind of weakness in the engine? I thought I heard my friend say that about his before

The suzuki quadzilla will smoke all of the above come on its a 500cc 2 stroke,if your only looking to beat him then id go with the suzuki quadzill500 and then it wont matter how good of a rider you are lol... those things are scary fast.

i wouldnt get an 04 of the honda or yamaha...

if you could get a 06 yfz...

and youre going to be hard pressed to find a suzuki in good condition... they werent the best built bikes in the 1st place, and add that theyre nearly 20 years old and that makes them even worse... so i guess you could win a race or two while it was still running...

youre best bet is to probably find a banshee with some engine work done to it... probably the cheapest route...

stock v stock maybe not.... but on a full build the 04-05's make more power.
