carrior smoking i think?

ok i tightened my chain and man was that tentioner hard to move i had to hit it with a slege hammer and it barely moved well anyway i went for a ride and smoke was coming out from my swingarm: it was so hot.
should i just ride it till it breaks? or what

evertime i bring it to a dealer they over price me

please help

the tensioner or the carrier was tight?if its the carrier make sure your bolts are all the way loose to rotate the carrier.try using some water dispersant #40(wd-40)to help....

if i were you i'd take the axle and everything off and take the carrier bearing out, then grease up the outside of the carrier bearing good (this will make it easier to tighten the chain), and also lube up the inside to

as for the smoke coming out the only thing i can think of is that the carrier bearings are smashed and they are dragging against each other making the smoke, when the carriers out check for cracks and stuff, also when its out see if you can turn the inside by hand, if the inside wont turn then you need new bearings
