tranny probs

Well i just put my motor back to gether and i only have 2 gears what could i have done wrong. do i need to slite the cases again. what do i need to do?:mad:

we just had my buddies completly tore down... put in a new crank and all sorts of seals and bearings. when he put it back together.. on the right side of the case by the kickstart idle gear and stuff.. for some reason he just like stuck this collar in there in the wrong place. it got jammed in there and made his get stuck in 1st gear.
i'll find out more about it if you want me to.. let me know. but i'd take off the right side case first and check to see if anything is jammed in the gears right there by the kicker.

from what i can tell it is stuck in 4th and 5 th i had a new case gasket order over night from the dealer i am goin to pull the motor back out tonight and rip it down to fig out what is going on with it

well just pulled the motor waiting for the oil to drain then i will rip it back apart:grr:

:cuss: well just took it apart. I had the two shift forks that are on the same shaft backwards:rolleyes: so they where hitting eachother.
