Oil question help..

Ok where do i need to get my oil to the lower or upper part of the dip stick. Like right now i dont have much oil at all and i need to put oil in it but i dunno how much to pour in to the oil tank?

on one side of the dipstick is lines. you want it at the top line.

I thought if you checked by the proper procedure *5 min warmup* and it was between the two lines (upper and lower) you are fine...am I wrong here?
