ever since i put on my msr aof clutch perch and lever and my oury grips if i try to start my quad in gear even with the clutch pulled in, the quad lurches like the clutch isnt disengaging. I have tried adjusting the free play and it doesnt make any difference. I also have new clutch fibers and springs

Does it free up after that? I've found that some clutches will always stick after setting for a while. If you pull in the clutch and rev the engine a couple times, it should break them loose before dropping it in gear. Works for me.

What kind of clutch fibers did you install? I've never had good luck with anything but OEM. The last Barnett clutch I had dragged like crazy. It wasn't an adjustment issue or a clutch basket issue. The fibers just liked to stick together.

Might have to adjust the cable at the bottom end as well where it goes into the case. You can adjust it at the lever but thats more of a fine tuning adjustment

it has honda fibers and springs with a new honda inner clutch hub. What is the adjustment down at the case going to do for me?

Any grooving on the outer clutch basket?

I know the very last fiber is suppose to be offset (i.e. tabs in the shallow slots on the clutch basket, not the main slots like all the rest). I'm not exactly sure on why it's suppose to be like that so I don't know if it would cause your issue--but it might be worth looking at if you're running out of ideas.

well, i cant answer that question. In all of my frustration after braking the inner hub I just took it to a honda dealer to have them fix it, so they damn well better be in there correctly.

the dealer used 20w-50 when they put it together, I run 10-40...should I switch back or will it make that much of a difference?

That shouldn't matter.
