Ground the wire that connects to the temp sensor. Turn on the key and it should come on.

I thought it was an e-start. If it is a kicker it will only come on when the quad is running.

I think he means to always have the fan running when the machine is running.

follow the wires from the fan, it should lead to a blue connector. Cut the green wire and then ground the green wire that u just cut.

is there a way to make it stay on till you shut the key off...like if you were to leave your key on the fan would stay on....cause i ride in glamis and it gets hot...and my buddies have raptors...and the fans will stay on till the bike cools!!!!!!

that'd be hard. But if you are running the fan full time, the motor has no reason to get hot. I have mine running full time and havent had a problem. Im just worried about the fan motor burning out. Dont think i should have a problem tho.

yeah. You just have to wire your key to be always on if you dont wanna use the key anymore. Otherwise the fan will only work when the key is plugged into the system.

This may help you all. Not sure if its close to the same of the king quad.

On my king quad I wired my fan up so that the temp sensor/thermostats still worked and I could wire it manually.

I just got a switch from autozone. ( I bought one with a LED light)

Find your thermostat, there should be 2 wires coming out of it. Splice 1 wire in each of the thermostat wires. then hook the 2 wires to your switch. Then ground the switch.

Now when your quad overheats it will turn on automatically and the LED light will come on showing it is running the fan. And you can also manually run the fan.

Okay - I have to ask why?

I run in the desert heat as well as Glamis all the time and the fan hasn't come on all that much at all - and this is with the stock motor, as well as a 477 and now the 511. If you're jetted right, it won't come on all that much.

Wiring to run all the time is pointless after you're moving at 15 mph or more...

Since you go to Glamis - you'd also know that the tops of the dunes are usually pretty breezy. Just park up there when you take your breaks.....

we are talking about mud. Mud insulates everything! and makes everything ALOT hotter. You can never be too safe during a XC race. Only XC racers understand why we do things the way that we do them...lol
