What is a good kill switch to use? Also I have a key on my bike now but I want to eliminate it. I know I have to unplug it from the harness, but how does the kill switch hook up to the harness? The same way the key did?

pro design Switches are good.

Pro design is good for racing but if you just want something to kill the engine and not have to hack the harness and wire it in - MOOSE is good. All you do is take off the key plug and match up the black female end to the male end. It's like a CR kill switch.

Go with the Pro Armor switch, it's set up for both 7/8" and 1 1/8" bars.

If you go with a pro-design, they are super easy to wire w/o hacking up the harness. i din't cut any wires at all and took about 5 min to install

pretty much use the wires that connect to the key switch for the kill switch. On my atv's, I use a cr kill swtich and pro-desgn tether, the cr gets used the most, the tether is only for when its needed and it has needed to be used before, when the throttle stuck wot and I slipped off the back of the bikes. I was very glad to have it in those circumstanses.

ok I have another question. I noticed a lot of kill switches have buttons and tethers. Is there any way to hook both of them up? I like the idea of the tether since if i fall off the bike it will die, and I like the idea of the button since its easier to just push the button to kill the bike.

yeah, put the black of the kill with the hot of the tether and green of the kill with the ground of the tether and put it on the key switch plugs or jump the 2 wires going to the coil. All the dirtbike kills and tethers do is complete the circuit shorting out the spark.
