You guys know the breather mod where u scrap the old hoses and run 2 seperate ones into your air box and put mini K and Ns on them. Has anyone done this on their 06/07/08? Im doin it on mine and would like to know if anyone else has done it.

I already have the hose, i was just seeing if other people have done it and how theres looks. I just gotta find 2 90 degree hose fittings.

I route the front one off the stator cover up to the radiator and the rear one is inside my airbox.

You have to remember, these filters are not for intake, they are for ventilation! I have heard lots of peeps saying that they need to oil them and make sure their clean.........they just spew air out.

Did you just move the connector thing comin outa the stator cover around so you could run the hose up by the rad.

Nothing really. But I was just sick of dealing with the rubber hose that had to press up against the filter. And my stock breather hose got melted by my exhaust.

UNI also makes filters in these sizes if you are a UNI fan. I use on on my jeep for CCV

so far my silicone has been an inch away from my exhaust, wich happens to run slightly lean till i get my jet kit. my hose are holding up great.

Filters you can get at Autozone, Pep Boys, Advance Auto, etc.

Hose you can get at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

I have since changed my setup due to adding a Fuel Customs Intake and Filter. With the addition of the new larger filter, I had to relocate the breathers.

Here is a new pic of my setup:

looks good here is what I have done.
don't run them into the air box it is putting bad air into the intake. they do that stock because of emission laws. also as said before you don't NEED a filter they are expelling bad air out of them. but it certainly doesn't hurt.

Actually, both the valve cover and crank case vents can potentially suck air in, so you should always use a filter, just in case.

if you look at it stock they are not filtered. they go into the air box but not down stream of the filter.
