400EX Shocks Soft??

I just finished mounting '07 400EX take-offs on the front of my 300EX using a relocation bracket. Are these shockes considerably softer than the 300EX shocks? If I stand on the front bumper and bounce hard, I can bottom them out. Is this normal? Of course I didn't try this with the old shocks so I can't compare.

try stiffening them up a bit. get a pair of vise grips and turn the shocks clock wise i believe. see if that helps. if ur a pretty big boy that could be the reason their bottoming out so easily.

ive owned both quads and the 400 shocks should not be considerably softer unless their on the lowest possible setting.

I weigh 185 lbs. I moved the spring preload to the stiffest. That made it stiffer, but it still has the same "plush" feel. I can hear the fluid moving through the valves on both sides, so I'm guessing that's just how they feel. They supposedly came of an '07 model.

If they work fine while riding then i wouldnt worry about it
