jig saw, it was pretty easy, i just made a cardboard cutout and traced it on a sheet of aluminum and cut it then sanded it down.

and roostmaker i took the stock one off and if you look at the four bolts on the bottom thats were it connected. i went to the handyman store and bought 5 new and longer bolts and took a tube of copper and cut it to fit so when i tighted the bolts it wouldn't bend the aluminum up.

ps. i was going to make some aluminum a-arm gaurds too but i had no way on sucuring them, good luck on trying though!!

i hope you guys understood this:D

yeah those skids look awesome for being homemade, you should start selling them you could probably make a lot of money off it, the only thing that i would see what could be better would be if the dropped piece under the sproket and brake disc could be a little bit narrower, other than that awesome job

What is the thickness of the aluminum, I was gonna make one today out of 16 guage sheet metal but my quad is at my mom's and I couldn't get anybody on here to give me the dimensions. What is the width of it, and how long would it be if you made it go to the bumper?

For a 32.00$ sheet of 5/16 aluminum I made a full belly skid, A-arm gaurds, oil line and fly wheel case covers, and I just finished making a bracket for my kill switch so I can mount it using the 2 rear bolts on the handle bar clamps. I used a jig saw (keep wd-40 on the blade to keep the aluminum from clogging up the blade), 1" square steel tube for the mounting bracket up front and the stock skid bolt holes. The tube you just cut three of the sides off and drill a hole in the skid so that it will pass through the tube. I haven't seen him on here in a while but I sent Kadify a copy of my templates and he didn't have any trouble making his own. Here is a pic of the oil line cover I made. I will see if I can find pics of my skid.
